The New Book
The Great Divide
312 Small Businesses, One Assessment, and the Half That Never Finished
"Three hundred twelve small businesses started. One hundred forty-six finished. The distance between those two numbers is the most honest thing I have ever measured."
Paperback and Kindle
What it is
In 2026, Oscar L. Frazier put a supplier readiness assessment online and waited. The businesses that answered wanted enterprise contracts and government work, and had the ambition to go get it. They had the website, the software, the certifications, the pitch. What almost none of them had was a single page naming who decides what, at what dollar amount, by name.
The pattern held across the scored data with a consistency that was hard to look at. These companies had bought the parts of readiness that could be bought and skipped the parts that had to be built. Then more than half of the people who sat down to measure themselves closed the tab before the questions got hard.
This is not a book about what small businesses lack. It is about why so many of us stop one page short of the thing that would change everything, and what it takes to cross.
